Build Your Setup

Terms of use

Last updated 21 October 2026

These terms cover your use of buildyoursetup.com. They are short because the site is simple: it helps you find desk gear and links you to a store. By using the site, you agree to them.

Who we are

Build Your Setup is run by Anyro from Australia. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Build Your Setup. You can reach us through the contact form.

What the site is

Build Your Setup is a free guide. It asks what you need and shows the products that match. We don't sell anything, take payments or handle orders. When you buy, you buy from the store (today, that's Amazon) under the store's terms, and the store is responsible for the sale, delivery, returns and warranty.

Product information

We work to get product details right, but they come from store listings, makers' specs and published reviews, sorted with the help of software and AI models. Listings change and sources make mistakes, so details can be wrong or out of date.

Review summaries

Product pages sum up what published reviews say. We don't test products ourselves. The reviews belong to their authors and publishers, and every point links to the reviews it comes from. Our summaries are written with the help of AI and can miss nuance or misread a source, so read the linked reviews before you rely on a point.

Affiliate links

Links to Amazon are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission. It doesn't change your price. Our disclosure explains how this works and how products are chosen.

Other websites

We link to stores and to the reviews we sum up. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, prices or privacy practices. Their own terms apply.

Using the site

You are welcome to use Build Your Setup for your own shopping and to share links to it. Please don't:

We may block anyone who does.

Who owns what

The site's design, code and writing belong to Build Your Setup. Product names, brands and logos belong to their owners, and product photos belong to their owners and are shown from Amazon. Showing them here doesn't mean a brand endorses us, or that we're connected to any brand or store beyond the affiliate programs in our disclosure. You can quote a short part of a page with a link back.

No guarantees

We provide the site as it is and as available. We don't promise that it will always be online or free of errors, or that any product will suit you. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties that these terms don't state.

Your rights under consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that can't lawfully be excluded, including the consumer guarantees. Where the law lets us limit our liability for failing a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

If you live outside Australia, you also keep every protection the mandatory laws of your country give you.

Limits on our liability

Subject to the section above, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or not being able to use it, from relying on its information, from products you buy, or from other websites. That includes indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria can hear any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you can also use the courts where you live, if your local law gives you that right.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies.

If part of these terms doesn't hold

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
