Best home office desks

A home office desk should hold a monitor, a laptop and a notebook side by side; 48 to 60 inches wide does that in most spare rooms. Drawers and shelves keep paperwork off the top, and an L-shape adds a second work surface. These are fixed-height desks, so to switch between sitting and standing, see standing desks instead.

How we picked

We compared 167 desks with real Amazon listings and kept the 14 that meet all of this:

Every pick fits, so the order is about what to look at first: models that are well known and well liked by buyers come first, with a small nudge for a clear photo. No brand pays to be listed or placed higher. Prices change daily, so we never print one; Amazon shows today's price.
