Best dynamic microphones

A dynamic mic hears mostly what is right in front of it, so keyboards, fans and the room stay quiet. That makes it the usual pick for streaming, podcasts and untreated rooms. Many need more gain than a condenser, so check whether yours plugs in by USB or needs an audio interface.

Top 10 of 63 that qualify, from 176 microphones compared. Ranked by how often independent reviewers recommend them.

How we picked

We compared 176 microphones with real Amazon listings and kept the 63 that meet all of this:

Every pick fits, so the order is about what to look at first. Models that independent reviewers recommend come first, the most often recommended at the top. The rest follow, best known and best liked first, with the newest model of a line ahead of older ones. No brand pays to be listed or placed higher. Prices change daily, so we never print one; Amazon shows today's price.
