Best gaming microphones

A gaming mic has to hear you, not the keyboard a few inches away. Every pick here is a dynamic mic, which picks up mostly what is right in front of it, and plugs in by USB with no interface to buy. Most also have an XLR output for later, and a mute button on the mic is worth having mid-match.

How we picked

We compared 158 microphones with real Amazon listings and kept the 31 that meet all of this:

Every pick fits, so the order is about what to look at first: models that are well known and well liked by buyers come first, with a small nudge for a clear photo. No brand pays to be listed or placed higher. Prices change daily, so we never print one; Amazon shows today's price.
