How the sensitivity converter works

Every shooter turns your view by a fixed angle for each count your mouse sends at sensitivity 1. That angle is called the yaw. CS2 turns 0.022° per count, Valorant 0.07°. Valorant's step is 3.18 times bigger, so the same feel needs a sensitivity 3.18 times smaller. That is all a sens converter does: it keeps the degrees you turn per inch of mouse travel the same.

In numbers: new sensitivity = old sensitivity × old yaw ÷ new yaw. If you change DPI as well, multiply by old DPI ÷ new DPI. So 1.2 in CS2 at 800 DPI is 0.377 in Valorant at 800 DPI, or 0.189 at 1600 DPI. The list under the tool shows your setting in every game at once, and the swap button runs the conversion the other way.

The yaw values we use

The Source and Quake figures come from Valve's and id Software's published code. Riot, Blizzard and the others don't publish theirs, so those come from careful community measurement (Mouse Sensitivity and KovaaK's Sensitivity Matcher), checked against known pairs like CS2 1.0 = Valorant 0.314. Games we couldn't verify, or whose turn changes with field of view, are left out rather than guessed.

cm/360: the number that travels

cm/360 is how far you move your mouse to turn all the way round. It is the one measure that means the same thing in every game, which is why the converter shows it. The formula: inches per 360 = 360 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × yaw), and cm per 360 is that times 2.54. CS2 at 1.0 and 800 DPI is 20.45 in, or 51.95 cm. Match the cm/360 and you have matched the turn. The eDPI calculator shows where that sits against typical ranges.

Getting the conversion right

Not sure what DPI your mouse really runs at? Measure it with the DPI analyzer first; a sensor a few percent off the box changes every number here by the same amount.

Questions

How do I convert Valorant sens to CS2?

Multiply by 3.18 (exactly 0.07 ÷ 0.022 = 3.1818). Valorant 0.4 is CS2 1.27. Keep the same DPI and the turn is identical.

And CS2 to Valorant?

Divide by 3.18. CS2 1.0 is Valorant 0.314, CS2 2.0 is 0.629. Valorant's setting takes three decimals, so round there.

Overwatch 2 to Valorant?

Multiply by 0.0943 (0.0066 ÷ 0.07). Overwatch 5 is Valorant 0.471. Call of Duty uses Overwatch's scale, so the same numbers work from CoD.

Does DPI matter if eDPI is the same?

Not for the turn: 400 DPI at 2.0 and 800 DPI at 1.0 turn exactly the same distance. A higher DPI gives smaller steps, which helps in menus and with very low in-game settings.

Why isn't Roblox here?

We couldn't find a verified figure for it, and each Roblox experience can replace the camera with its own sensitivity. A guessed number would be worse than none.

Will the new game feel exactly the same?

The turn will. Field of view, frame rate and how each game handles scopes still change the feel a little, so expect a short adjustment rather than none.

A mouse that glides easily makes any sensitivity feel better. The best ultralight gaming mice and the mouse finder are good places to look.
